Removal and storage
Plan the takedown when you plan the install
Sugar Land is largely made up of established, planned neighborhoods, and many of them are governed by an HOA. Communities like that often care as much about when decorations come down as when they go up.
We cannot tell you what your community requires. Check your own deed restrictions or ask your association whether there is a removal date.
If there is one, think about takedown now. Our Light Up + Pack Up package includes installation, a return visit to take the lights down, and storage. Our takedown window is January 1 through January 31, 2027. Give us your HOA's date when you book and we will plan around it. The details are on the Christmas light removal and storage page.
If you would rather take the lights down yourself, the Installation package covers hanging them only.
Holiday lighting guide
Mature trees mean full gutters in December
Many Sugar Land streets are lined with mature trees, and by late fall those trees have dropped a season of leaves into the gutters below. That matters for roofline lighting, because the gutter edge is where the lights run.
Gutters are our regular work. If yours are packed when we come out, we will tell you, and our gutter services crew can clear them.
One limit to be clear about: we light the roofline and the gutter line. We do not light the trees themselves, or shrubs.
Pricing and estimates
Price for a Sugar Land roofline
Every installation has a $300 base fee. Materials and labor are added to that, priced by the length of roofline you want lit. Length of roofline, number of stories, roof pitch and access, and the package you pick set the final number. See the cost guide.
If you only want the front of the house lit, say so and we will quote that run on its own.

Who does the work
TruShine employees, not subcontractors. The company is owner-led and fully insured.
Our technicians spend their working days on ladders at the roof edge, cleaning upper-story windows and clearing gutters. Hanging lights along that same edge is new for us as a service. The ladder work is not.
We have no lighting reviews yet because this is season one. Our window and gutter reviews are on the rest of this site.
