Replacement window screens for missing or damaged frames
Many Houston homes are missing screens altogether: builders leave them off, painters and remodelers remove them, and storms bend what is left. If you need replacement window screens for a few openings or for the whole house, each one is built as a complete new screen, frame and mesh together, to the size you enter. Match the frame color and thickness to the screens you still have so the new ones sit beside them without standing out. If only the mesh is damaged and the frame is straight, rescreening the existing frame usually costs less.

What a custom window screen costs
Screens start at $29.99. Price depends on size and the options you pick. With a white or mill frame, standard charcoal mesh and no extra hardware:
| Finished size | Price |
|---|---|
| 24 × 36 in | $30.00 |
| 36 × 48 in | $42.00 |
| 36 × 60 in | $48.00 |
Sales tax is added at checkout. Pickup is free. Delivery in Greater Houston is $75 per order, no matter how many screens. Your exact price is in the builder. Read the full cost guide.
Built to fit
Frame colors and thickness
Frames come in mill finish (silver), white, bronze, almond and black. Match the color of your window frame or your other screens.
Thickness matters more than color: a frame that is too thick will not seat in the track. Measure the edge of an existing screen. Most Houston homes use 5/16 inch. Some windows need 3/8 or 7/16 inch. A 5/16 inch heavy-duty frame is available for larger screens that need more stiffness.
Choose the right weave
Mesh options
Charcoal fiberglass
The standard insect screen, with good visibility and airflow.
Grey fiberglass
A lighter standard screen for matching older screens.
Heavy-duty charcoal
Thicker fiberglass made for high-use windows.
Pet-resistant
Tougher mesh that stands up to claws and paws better than standard screen.
No-See-Um
A tighter weave for gnats and other tiny insects.
Solar 80
A denser exterior mesh for sun, glare and daytime privacy. From $49.99 with a heavy-duty frame included.
Match the existing window
Springs, pull tabs and mounting hardware
Screens are held in place in different ways. Look at an existing screen on the same kind of window and match what you see: tension springs, plunger pins, pull tabs, loop latches, swivel clips, ram horns or Dual Lock fasteners. The builder shows a photo of each and lets you choose which edge it goes on. Each hardware option comes as a pair.
Larger screens can have a crossbar added, horizontal or vertical, to help keep the frame rigid. Open the hardware guide with photos.
Measure twice
How to measure
Measure the finished screen, outside edge to outside edge: width first, then height. Measure to the nearest 1/16 inch and measure twice. We build to the exact numbers you enter. No screen to measure, or not sure? Text a photo of the window to (832) 713-3545 and we will help.

Choose the practical fix
New screen or repair the old one?
If your frame is straight and only the mesh is torn or loose, rescreening the existing frame is often the better choice. If the frame is bent, corroded or missing, order a new screen. See window screen repair in Houston. Not sure which fits? Compare all window screen options.

Before opening the builder
A five-minute preparation checklist
Gather one good reference screen, a steel tape measure, a phone camera and a sheet of notes. Label the window, measure width and height to the nearest 1/16 inch, then record frame thickness, color, mesh and every piece of hardware. Photograph the complete screen and the edge details before starting the order.
For multiple windows, group only the screens that match in every detail. If two openings have different hardware, colors or measurements, create separate lines. Review the finished cart against your notes before checkout. That preparation keeps the builder quick and protects the exact specifications used for manufacturing.
